Cecilia Dan Fine Art specializes in comprehensive Modern and Contemporary Fine Art advising, collection management, and appraisal services for a diverse range of clients. With over thirty years of art world experience, Cecilia has built a distinguished reputation as an advisor, collection manager, and appraiser, providing access to material and information through her network of artists, galleries, dealers, collectors, and institutional contacts.

Cecilia Dan is a member of the Association of Professional Art Advisors (APAA), a non-profit membership organization of the world's leading art advisors and curators, and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) of the American Society of Appraisers providing appraisal services compliant with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Cecilia earned a BA in Art History (cum laude) from UCLA, an MBA in Arts Management from the Drucker School at Claremont Graduate University, and a certificate in Appraisal Studies at UCI. She worked with Bonhams Los Angeles for over five years in the early-2000s, both as a specialist and a consultant. Cecilia is highly active in local arts and professional groups, including the Hammer Circle, MOCA Partners and LACMA Modern and Contemporary Art Council.

We are completely objective throughout the appraisal process, providing unbiased and informed valuations for a variety of purposes, including non-cash charitable contribution (artworks donated to museums/institutions), insurance replacement value (the cost of replacing a property with a like or comparable artwork in scenario of damage or loss), estate tax or planning, equitable distribution (divorce or family division of property), and market value (typically used as consultation for disposition via future sale or donation).
