Cora Bishop

Cora was born in The Netherlands but lived in Belgium for 10 years pursuing her dream to become an appraiser of high-end jewelry, gems and watches. During college she knew her interest lied in the art of jewelry so she went on and earned her bachelor's degree in Art History at the University of Utrecht in The Netherlands, and her master's degree in Art History from the University of Leuven in Belgium with theses on the subject. She went on to take several courses on goldsmithing, watchmaking, gemology and appraising. And to broaden her knowledge on the subject she worked at several high-end jewelry stores giving her an experience in the jewelry industry of over 20 years. In 2012 she found love in the United States on one of her travels and she decided to make the move in 2014. She now has 3 kids and loves her new home of Nashville, TN. With her European background and her knowledge of art history plus speaking 5 languages, she covers a broad area and uses this to her advantage when it comes to doing the research for the jewelry she appraises. Combined with a love for learning, she continues to take courses to stay up to date with current changes and developments in the industry.
