Heidi A. Harders

Heidi A. Harders is a Graduate Gemologist and President of Chicago Gem & Jewelry Evaluation Services, Inc., providing appraisal services since 1996. She holds over 40 years of experience in the jewelry industry and maintains continuing education on the latest appraisal standards. A Graduate Gemologist (GIA, 1989) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona, she is certified as an ISA CAPP (Certified Appraiser of Personal Property, since 1997) and a Certified Senior Member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA). She serves on the Board of Governors and chairs educational committees for the Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA). Her expertise includes diamond grading, colored stone evaluation, pearl assessment, gemstone identification, and antique jewelry appraisal. She charges hourly or per-item fees, not contingency fees, and provides appraisals that stand up in court. Her services encompass insurance claims, estate liquidation, litigation support, bankruptcy work, and damage assessment.
