JEFFREY A. HUTTON, ASA
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
PRESENT POSITION: Mr. Hutton is a Partner with Arthur Lloyd LLC, an Austin, Texas based asset valuation and consulting firm. He has over 25 years experience in asset valuation, asset management, financial advisory and solution-based consulting.
EXPERIENCE: Mr. Hutton was a Senior Vice President in charge of operations for a start-up asset management company. The company specializes in surplus asset management including redeployment, broker and end-user dispositions as well as scrap. He headed up the company's account management, field operations, supplier reporting and contract administration functions.
Prior to that, he spent over 14 years with a Big 5 firm performing asset valuations, managing valuation and consulting projects and heading up the regional machinery and equipment valuation practice for the firm's Houston office. He has performed asset consulting projects in a number of different industries, including healthcare, semiconductor manufacturing, high-tech manufacturing, food processing and distribution, energy, manufacturing, financial, transportation, communication, chemical and petrochemical, printing and entertainment. He has prepared valuations for a variety of purposes including asset based financing, merger and acquisition accounting, financial reporting, business planning, ad valorem negotiation, insurance review, audit support, litigation support and S Corp. election. Mr. Hutton's clients have included numerous public and private companies in the U.S. and globally.
EDUCATION: Mr. Hutton received a Bachelor of Science degree, Magna Cum Laude, in Economics from the University of Houston.
PROFESSIONAL: Mr. Hutton is an Accredited Senior Appraiser in the American Society of Appraisers, in the discipline of Machinery and Technical Specialties. He is an active member of the ASA, having served as Chair of the International Machinery and Technical Specialties Committee and as President of his local ASA Chapter. He is a contributing editor (income approach chapter) to the ASA textbook, Appraising Machinery and Equipment, and contributed to the development of the ASA's ME205 course, "Introduction to Income Approach, Discount Rate Development, and Complex Case Studies."
