About

Jennifer Strasbaugh earned her Master's Degree from Notre Dame of Maryland University and her Bachelor's Degree from Stevenson University (formerly known as Villa Julie College). She also completed a Professional Certificate from the George Washington University in Appraising the Fine and Decorative Arts. She has been an independent fine arts appraiser since 1995.

Since 2009, she has been developing and teaching for Stevenson University in Baltimore. Her courses include an online, interdisciplinary art history course, Tracing Modernism: Art and Literature 1850-1970 and Art 106: Introduction to Art History. In addition, she teaches Towson University's Art Topics 783/Graduate Seminar each spring, which focuses on arts professional practice.

From 1996-2011, Strasbaugh served as Director of the Thomas Segal Gallery, a private fine arts gallery and a member of the Art Dealers Association of America . The gallery dealt in blue-chip art, primarily in Impressionist, modern, and contemporary masterworks. In addition, Strasbaugh has been a member of the American Alliance of Museums since 1992 and a Candidate, American Society of Appraisers since 2003.
