About
Melissa Leventon, co-founder of Curatrix Group museum consultants and appraisers, has been providing appraisal and collection evaluation services since 2000. She holds ASA accreditation in Costume and Couture.
Formerly Curator-in-Charge of Textiles at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Melissa specializes in historic and contemporary European and American textiles, fashion, and accessories. She is regularly consulted by other appraisers needing textiles and fashion expertise.
Melissa holds an MA in Art History/History of Dress from the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London.
