About
Michael J. Williams is the owner of East Coast Technical Enterprises, LLC, and Professor Emeritus and former Dean of the College of Business at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Technology from Nova Southeastern University, and a Masters of Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Certifications include FAA Aircraft Technician (A&P), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers, CompTIA RFID+, FAA Part 107 sUAS Drone Pilot, and a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt. Mike was an aircraft technician in the U.S. Air Force maintaining strategic bomber and tactical fighter aircraft during his six-year military career and served as an FAA Designated Mechanic Exaniner for over ten years. His consulting firm, East Coast Technical Enterprises, specializes in technical aviation training and program development. Mike's areas of interest include aircraft appraisal, aviation maintenance education, information systems, radio frequency identification (RFID), and intermodal transportation. His work has appeared in such publications as the Journal of Air Transportation; International Journal of Aviation, Aeronautics, and Aerospace; World Review of Science, Technology & Sustainable Development; World Review of Intermodal Transportation Research; and Multimodal Transport Security: Frameworks and Policy Applications in Freight and Passenger Transport.
